Why not do business over a bacon bun and a cup of coffee? The Business Generation Group (BGG) hopes to help North East Lincolnshire firms thrive, by meeting over breakfast once a week at the Euro Park Innovation Centre. As well as tucking into some tasty breakfast food, local business people can make contacts, friends and introduce business by the way of referral. Stephen Mason, of Martin Maslin Estate Agents, believes the club has benefited many of the North East Lincolnshire’s businesses during the tough economic climate. He said: “We have about 27 members. Since we stared up, we have gone from strength to strength. The meetings are very sociable occasions. We have seen a great deal of business passed between us all, which means we are all helping generate business for the regions companies.” The BGG was started four years ago. Since then, members of the club have generated thousands of pounds worth of business for each other. Ray Person, of Mortgage Lincs in Market Rasen, said joining the club offers local companies the chance to improve their business and make new friends. He said: “It is a real social event. Besides a great breakfast provided by Sage Catering, we also get the chance to each have our say in how the business is run.” The BGG also support the St Andrew’s Hospice and recently presented a cheque for £110 to Mike Gresham with money they have raised through a number of different events. |
